HRVĆIRPAL Workshop: Visualizing Manuscripts Through Digital Maps
On Thursday 19 March 2026., a workshop was held in which young researchers Marko Brkljačić, Josip Mihaljević, and Janja Dora Ivančić presented the process of digitally extracting letters from manuscript materials, their application in creating computer fonts, and the procedure for developing interactive maps. Participants had the opportunity to see concrete examples of the digitisation of historical manuscripts and to become familiar with the latest tools used in humanities research. The workshop encouraged discussion on the importance of digital technologies in preserving cultural heritage and opened space for future collaboration and knowledge exchange among young researchers. The atmosphere was highly stimulating and focused on hands-on work.
