Presentation in Leeds at the 33rd International Medieval Congress
Senior Research Associate Kristian Paskojević, PhD, head of the HRVĆIRPAL project, held a lecture at the 33rd International Medieval Congress in Leeds, which took place from July 6 to 9, 2026, entitled Multiscriptality in the Croatian Cultural Circle During the Middle Ages: The Case of Ragusa and the Use of the Cyrillic Script.
The presentation introduced the topic of biscriptality in the Croatian cultural circle, with a special emphasis on the use of the Cyrillic script in medieval Dubrovnik, and the interested audience was also acquainted with the Foundation’s HRVĆIRPAL project. The lecture was held within the session The Making, Using and Keeping (or Not) of Documents in Late Medieval Central Europe, 1200–1500, I: Making Documents.
The International Medieval Congress in Leeds has a long tradition and gathers a large number of participants from all over the world. At this year’s edition, more than 2,000 presentations were held, distributed across 750 sessions during the four-day program of the Congress.
